I am the Deputy Asia Editor for the BBC News website, based in the Singapore bureau.
I help ovsersee a team of news editors that runs the BBC’s daily Asia coverage online, manage breaking news, and plan digital coverage for the region.
I also commission and edit news, features and analysis from reporters across Asia.
I started at the BBC’s Delhi bureau, where I reported and edited news and features, and commissioned text and video from BBC teams operating in six Indian languages.
Before that, I was at the Hindustan Times, where, among other things, I worked in an award-winning team of reporters and data journalists to build new storytelling formats.
I graduated from Columbia University’s Journalism School, where I earned an honours for my radio doc about love on the autism spectrum.
I grew up in Hyderabad, a southern city famous for its biryani and ghostly tombs.
